Sam Hurcom is a writer and PhD researcher from South Wales (UK). He attained a BA in Philosophy at Cardiff University in 2013 and an MA in Ethical and Social Philosophy at Cardiff University in 2014. He is currently studying for a PhD in Creative Writing at Cardiff University.

 

Sam's debut crime novel, A Shadow on the Lens, was published with Orion (Hatchette UK) in 2019. A Shadow on the Lens received praise from both The Guardian and The Times and was nominated for Capital Crime’s Debut Novel of the Year award. Sam’s second novel, Letters from the Dead was published in 2020.

Sam lives in London with his partner, Alice.
